The plum blossom pattern is reminiscent of spring and is a lovely design for celebrating the New Year.
The base is made of resin with a lacquer coating.
I recall the lacquer work being either Wajima-nuri or Yamanaka-nuri.
Because it is resin, I believe it is easy to care for.
Used once and then stored at home.
