46.20 $
Description
This item has an inscription: Toho Life Yamagata Branch, August 1968, indicating it is approximately 58 years old. It was found with a Mitsukoshi department store tag.
This is a wooden 1-sho (approx. 1.8 liter) sake measuring box in red and gold, featuring a golden 福 (Fuku - meaning luck/fortune) logo.
Please note that there are visible signs of peeling on the upper part of the gold-colored sections.
It is speculated that this item may have been decorated with gold leaf.
The owner was surprised at how clean it is, as they thought it might have been stored away in a warehouse. How about adding this to your Showa retro collection?
As it may have been used for measuring rice, it is being sold as a used item.
