Nordic Style 70s Antique - Masatoshi Sakae - Creamer & Sugar Pot
This is a hand-painted creamer and sugar pot designed by the late ceramic artist Masatoshi Eiki, who passed away in 2019.
Mr. Eiki was recognized as one of the 10 World Designers by the International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza, Italy.
This item was produced in the 1970s and is a rare vintage piece (approximately 50 years old) that is no longer in production.
[Size]
- Creamer: Diameter approx. 7.5cm (approx. 12.5cm including handle) / Height approx. 8cm / Capacity approx. 160cc
- Sugar Pot: Diameter approx. 8.5cm / Height approx. 8.5cm
This is an unused item that has been stored long-term in my family home.
As it was stored in a dark place, there are no noticeable stains or dirt.
Due to being hand-painted, there are individual differences in texture and design for each piece.
Please enjoy this as a unique characteristic of handmade items.
*The spoon is for photography purposes only and is not included.
*Crazing (kannyu), a characteristic of ceramics, is visible.
This is a fine network of cracks on the glaze surface that occurs during the cooling process after firing, and it does not affect the strength. It can be enjoyed as part of the item's texture.
As this is a vintage item, please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for a condition identical to modern new products.
Please understand this before purchasing.
