This is a cafe au lait bowl purchased a long time ago.
It is almost unused but has been stored for a long time,
so please understand this before purchasing.
This is an early sponge ware piece from Emma Bridgewater,
and I believe it is rare nowadays.
Sponge printing was a common technique in the pottery industry,
but it seems to have fallen out of manufacturing practice until it was revived by the company in the 1980s.
There are no noticeable scratches or stains,
but we appreciate your understanding of antique and vintage items.
