Oshie (Japanese traditional art) - Framed artwork for Children's Day (Boys' Festival)

11.88 $
Description
Oshie is a traditional Japanese textile craft and handicraft where parts are made by placing cotton or urethane on die-cut cardboard, wrapping it with fabric such as chirimen (crepe), and then assembling these parts to create a three-dimensional design.

This piece is a framed artwork of a Musha Doll or Armor Display, which is displayed on Children's Day (May 5th) to wish for the healthy growth and success of boys.

Size: 45cm x 63cm x 5cm

This was created by my mother when she was teaching her students, and there is a Noriko seal in the lower right corner.

We would like to pass this on to someone who appreciates Oshie or who will cherish it as a decoration.
Thank you.
