Nakaya Yuzo Shojiki Boshu Saw Double-Edged Saw 240mm 9 inch
138.60 $
Description
Traditional hand-forged double-edged saw by Nakaya Yuzo Shōjiki, 240mm (9 sun).
This saw's roots lie in saws used for building Japanese wooden boats, designed for cutting hardwoods like zelkova and oak. As such, it boasts a smooth, almost sucking sharpness and excellent durability.
Purchased directly from the workshop in Kamogawa about 25 years ago.
After using it 5-6 times, I oiled it, wrapped it in Ferobrite, and stored it carefully.
This is a very sharp saw.
A saw roll is also included.
The brand mark on the bottom of the handle was scraped off with a chisel. The paper bag is also torn.
We hope this saw will be purchased by someone who values their tools and will use it with care.
