pH Rise Suppression Function
The main component of Power House Soft Type (for freshwater, for aquatic plants) is kaolinite-based activated silica. Activated silica absorbs hydroxide ions (OH) in the water and separates hydrogen ions (H+), thereby suppressing pH rise.
This makes it ideal for maintaining the proper condition of planted tanks, which tend to experience pH rise due to CO2 consumption, as well as for discus and characins that prefer slightly acidic conditions.

Special Structure for a Microbial World
To enjoy aquariums for a long time, biological filtration utilizing the nitrification of microorganisms is essential.
However, if only nitrifying bacteria such as Nitrosomonas and Nitrobacter, which consume harmful substances like ammonia and nitrite for fish and aquatic plants, proliferate, mass die-offs can occur at certain times, leading to reduced filtration capacity.
Power House features a special structure with ultra-fine pores of 0.1 microns and cavities of 1,000 microns. This structure allows microorganisms ranging from nitrifying bacteria of about 1 micron to protozoa of 10 microns or more to inhabit it, creating a food chain within the microbial world and enabling balanced biological filtration.
This special structure and pH control function maintain a comfortable aquarium condition for extended periods.
