Description
Chinese Vegetable Wosun Stem Lettuce Seeds! 80 seeds + 20 seeds (bonus)

This is a rare Chinese native vegetable. In Europe and America, it is called Celtuce (Celery + Lettuce) due to its appearance, which resembles a combination of celery and lettuce. The stem is primarily eaten, and because it tastes like asparagus, it is also called asparagus lettuce.

Dried stem lettuce is called Yamakurage (mountain jellyfish). Pickled Yamakurage is a representative processed product. Generally, Yamakurage is used as a name for dried stem lettuce. It is cut into thin strips, dried, rehydrated, and processed into pickles. It has a crunchy texture similar to jellyfish, which is how it got its name. In Japan, the name Yamakurage is more widely known.

[Cultivation Method]
■ Environment and Soil
Prefers sunny and well-ventilated locations. Use well-draining, fertile soil. It's best to apply dolomitic lime two weeks before transplanting.

■ Sowing
Sowing is possible anytime as long as there is no frost, counting back from the harvest time. The cultivation period is suitable when the temperature is consistently above 15℃. Scatter seeds thinly on the soil, cover with about 3mm of soil, and keep moist until germination. If sowing in the cooler months of March-April, sow indoors and move outdoors when it warms up. Germination will not occur above 25℃.

■ Thinning
Once the plants start growing and reach about 10cm, gradually thin them to achieve the desired plant spacing. Do not pinch the tops.

■ Harvesting
Young leaves can be harvested 4-5 weeks after sowing. As the stems gradually thicken, cut them at the base after 75-85 days for consumption.
