??Cultivation method
. Sowing
Space plants about 20cm apart. Sow seeds in rows 1cm deep and lightly cover with soil.
. Thinning
Once the cotyledons have emerged, thin out crowded seedlings. Thin to a spacing of 4-5cm when the true leaves are 2-3 leaves, and grow to a spacing of 15cm when the plant height is 5-6cm.
. Harvesting
Harvest when the diameter of the swollen stem is about 5-7cm. Pull it up or cut off the swollen stem with scissors just below it. It can be harvested in about 60-70 days, but be aware that it tends to become tough if allowed to grow too large.
