Description
Variety: New Onions
Size: Between a plum and a tennis ball (approx. 5 cm diameter)
Shipping: Approx. 5kg, direct from producer. Ships at room temperature in an 80-size box.
Cultivation Method: Grown with a commitment to natural farming methods, using mineral-rich oyster shell lime, rice hulls, and kuntan (charred rice hulls). Fallen leaves are also added to the fields.
Fertilizer used is solely cottonseed meal. No cow manure is used. You can safely enjoy these onions raw in salads.
Weeding is done by hand, and the fields have not used chemical agents such as herbicides or fungicides for over 10 years. For this reason, the price may be slightly higher than that of other producers.
While visually inspected, as these are open-field grown without chemical agents, there may be some minor blemishes. We appreciate your understanding.
