Saxifrage (4 plants)

Saxifrage (4 plants)

Saxifrage can be used as ground cover or undergrowth for shade gardens and creating woodland garden landscapes.
It might also be nice to create a wild path landscape with this wild plant.
In May, flower stalks rise, and many small, delicate white flowers bloom.
Although the flowers are plain, if you look closely, they have a beautiful shape similar to that of Oomonsou (a type of Saxifrage).
The name Yukinoshita (meaning under the snow) is said to come from the fact that its green leaves are hidden beneath the snow, indicating its cold hardiness.
It seems to prefer semi-shade to shade.
It is also used as a medicinal herb, and its leaves can be eaten as wild vegetables, such as in tempura.
