5 Bare-Root Ajuga Plants
We are offering a set of 5 bare-root Ajuga plants, grown from seedlings 2 years ago. Please see the product description below.
Ajuga is a popular ground cover and container plant, with many cultivars developed from Ajuga reptans. These include varieties with pink and white variegated leaves, cream-centered leaves, and dwarf varieties. The Ajuga species native to Japan, such as Jūnihitoe and Kiransō, are also related to Ajuga. They spread horizontally with creeping stems, forming a mat, and produce numerous blue-purple or pink flowers in spring. Due to their spreading nature and shallow roots, they are susceptible to drought and not suited for direct sunlight. However, they have shade tolerance and thrive in shaded gardens.
