Last year, I loosened a moon ginger plant that had become root-bound in a planter, and when I put small pieces in water, they sprouted. The longest one is about 5 cm. Since the roots are firm, it is highly likely to take root.
I will send it as a bare-root plant with the roots moisturized.
It will multiply rapidly from the roots, similar to how ginger or myoga multiply.
The leaves have various uses, and can also be used as an insect repellent.
As it is a plant from Okinawa, it is difficult for it to grow in cold climates.
I am in Tokyo, but it has been growing on my apartment balcony for several years. It is safer to keep it indoors during winter.
As a bonus, I will also include a strawberry mint seedling.
