Raspberry / Wild Raspberry / Seedling Listing! ②
These are seedlings propagated by cuttings and division from last year to this spring. The variety is unknown, but I believe it might be raspberry.
It's not a trailing type, so it should be easier to manage.
The plant is extremely vigorous. Since purchasing it the year before last, I've kept it in a slightly larger pot, but the roots have spread through the drainage holes into the ground, and new shoots are emerging from outside the pot.
The parent plant has also grown very well, and for the first time this year, I've been able to harvest a surprisingly large amount.
Photos 1-6 show the parent plant and the fruit harvested last year, while photos 7 onwards show the seedlings for sale.
Please note that there are small thorns.
The fruit is a prolific producer of reddish-purple berries. Although medium-sized, they are sweet with no acidity, making them recommended for fresh consumption.
They can be used in various ways, such as adding to yogurt or decorating cakes. If you harvest a lot, you can freeze them and enjoy them year-round.
Please note that the leaves will wither and fall from autumn to winter. The stems may also wither, but please look forward to new buds in the spring.
The seedlings are about 15 cm tall.
The seedlings will be shipped bare-root with the roots moisturized, via the 4th Class Mail service.
