Beautiful Rare Species from South America: Flamenco Eyed Silkmoth Specimen
299.00 $
Description
Insect Specimen
Leucanella flammans
♂
A beautiful South American silk moth with pink forewings contrasting with black hindwings. The way yellow enters the wing veins and eyespots is very stylish, typical of South American species. Pink silk moths are found scattered in a few species in South America and Africa, but all of them are quite rare, and *flammans* is no exception. They are almost never seen in Japan, and beautiful specimens fetch nearly 50,000 yen overseas.
