【90mm】Talandus Stag Beetle Specimen Mesotopus
163.68 $
Description
Scientific Name: Mesotopus tarandus
Japanese Names: Tarandus Stag Beetle / Kurotsuya Ootsunokuwagata / Black Glossy Stag Beetle
English Name: Tarandus Stag Beetle
The Japanese name and specific epithet tarandus refer to the constellation Taurus.
When angered, it is known to vibrate its head and produce sound between its head and thorax. While not as aggressive as species like the Flat-backed Stag Beetle or Twin-horned Stag Beetle, they are not entirely docile. When fighting, they fiercely battle by brandishing their powerful mandibles, pinching, and showing a tenacious spirit, refusing to back down.
Please note that we cannot guarantee against grade reduction due to shipping.
