Marukaisan's Wooden Otaru - For Pen Stands and More

These are wooden barrels from Marukaisan's Sasazuke (pickled fish). They have been washed and dried.
They have a woody aroma.

There are 3 barrel-shaped containers and 3 half-barrel containers, for a total of 6 pieces.
How about using them as pen holders, small item containers, or coasters?
(The pens, glasses, pins, etc. in the photos are for display purposes only and are not included.)

Thank you for looking.
