Description

Yokkaichi Banko Ware [Tonsui] Pair Set of 2
  Green Apple Pattern

This is a set of 2 Tonsui (small dipping bowls) made with Banko Ware from Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture. Yokkaichi Banko Ware is a specialty production area with a high domestic market share for earthenware pots. Many Tonsui are also produced here.

Simple yet adorable with its green apple motif, it has a modern feel despite being Japanese tableware.

It's a versatile size, perfect as a small plate for hot pot dishes, for tempura dipping sauce, or as a small bowl for simmered dishes.

I liked them so much that I bought multiple sets, and these two have been stored without being used for guests. They are in very beautiful condition.
