(Photographed on 5/25) Rare. Super beautiful variegated wild-collected Ilex rotunda, multi-trunked female tree.

It hasn't been just a few years since we started hearing that wild-collected Ilex rotunda are becoming scarce.
Ilex rotunda, which undoubtedly adds color to various scenes from sunny to shady spots, is truly exceptional when collected from the wild with its natural form.
Furthermore, as you can see, this specimen boasts a magnificent tree shape. It also features rare variegation for Ilex rotunda, densely appearing towards the tips of the branches.
The condition is excellent, and it has been root-pruned over several years after being collected from the wild, making it relatively safe to plant compared to other wild-collected specimens.
What's more, it's a popular female tree! It flowers profusely, and if you're lucky, it might brighten up your winter with red berries starting this year^^
This is a truly dignified specimen.
As a symbol tree, and as a naturally shaped evergreen tree, Ilex rotunda is the one I highly recommend.
It's also an excellent accent for a garden with mixed trees, no doubt about it.
As there are only a few available, please consider it soon.

Ilex rotunda is a relatively hardy and easy-to-grow tree species, but it prefers slightly acidic soil.
If the soil is alkaline, such as near concrete, mix Akadama soil and Kanuma soil in a 1:1 ratio, and add about 20% peat moss before planting.

◎About Wild-Collected Trees◎

While wild-collected trees are attractive for their natural form and branch structure, they may have marks from vine constriction, cracks on the trunk, insect damage on leaves, or black spots compared to cultivated trees. In such cases, we ship after taking necessary measures, so please rest assured and observe the renewal of the leaves.
We ask for your understanding and consent when purchasing. Also, when planting, please pay attention to watering management first and refrain from fertilizing for about six months to a year until the roots establish.
