Kirin Figure Ornament Pixiu Brass Decoration Feng Shui Prosperity Blessing
Pair
Pixiu (also sometimes written as 豼貅) is the name of a mythical fierce beast. Rather than being a creature that wards off evil, Pixiu has come to be primarily a symbol of financial fortune. In Feng Shui, it is treated as a auspicious beast, alongside the four divine creatures: dragon, phoenix, turtle, and Kirin.
According to legend, Pixiu eats gold and has no anus, making it a charm for accumulating wealth. It is believed that placing good luck charms shaped like Pixiu facing outwards from a building will absorb financial energy. For example, north of the Forbidden City, which was once the emperor's residence, there was a gate called Di'anmen, which faced Tiananmen, the southern gate of the Imperial City. Here, Pixiu was enshrined as the financial deity of the imperial family.
This is unplated brass innocence. Brass is a material that gradually deepens in color over time, developing a unique character and becoming more familiar. What was initially shiny will gradually become dull, with only the parts that are touched frequently gleaming. It is a material whose aging process can be enjoyed, much like silver.
