Kairagi (sea bream's skin glaze) is a technique used for tea ceremony utensils, where the glaze does not fully melt and shrinks, creating a textured finish that is highly valued.
This bowl features fine cracks all over, creating a beautiful pattern as seen in the photo, finished in a unique grey color.

【Important Notes for Kairagi Ware】
Kairagi ware has a layer of white slip underneath, making it less durable than other ceramics. Please handle with care.
Kairagi ware is also prone to absorbing water.
When submerged in water, water stains may appear as spots.
These usually disappear when dry, but colored foods can easily stain or leave odors. When serving dark-colored foods, it is recommended to soak the bowl in water before use to prevent stains from penetrating.
After use, wash it immediately and ensure it is thoroughly dried before returning it to the cupboard.
