Tea brewed from the thick trunks is known as the crude drug Ushou, said to calm the nerves and promote restful sleep, help expel phlegm, relieve coughs, and reduce congestion in the bronchial mucous membranes.
The trunks can be steeped two or three times, producing a color like rosé wine.

【How to Make Tea】
?Adjust concentration to your preference! Approximately 10 servings of 2 liters each.
① Add one handful per 1 liter of boiling water and simmer for 15 to 25 minutes.
② Leave the wood pieces in until it cools.
(If drinking warm, simmer a little longer.)
③ Strain out wood chips and scum using paper filters or a tea strainer.

?Can be steeped two or three times.
?Delicious hot or cold.
?Caffeine-free / Japanese herbs.

【Example of How to Make Bath Additive】
① Add enough water to a pot to cover the Lindera umbellata and boil for about 10 minutes.
② Add the brewed liquid and Lindera umbellata branches to your bath.
