These are scraps of genuine Bridle Leather (cowhide) tanned using the pit tanning method with vegetable tannins.

The leather surface is covered with the characteristic bloom (wax powder) of Bridle Leather, which will blend into the leather over time and develop a strong luster.

[Important Notes on Stamping]
Because Bridle Leather has hard fibers, it can be difficult to stamp letters with conventional methods.
We recommend branding for stamping.
*It may be possible to stamp by thoroughly soaking the flesh side with moisture, but this can be difficult depending on the tools and environment used.

Both the belly and neck areas are used, so there are many scratches and wrinkles, and the leather fiber density is relatively coarse.
While generally considered a soft part, because it is tanned slowly with vegetable tannins in a pit, its texture is firmer than other common vegetable-tanned leathers.
In addition to color unevenness and scratches from the leather manufacturing process, the flesh side may have been treated.
