I believe I purchased this from Tool Company Straight. It's a tool for gripping and locking hose clamps.
This was incredibly useful. You just hook the tip of the wire onto a hose clamp deep in the engine, and then grip it. It's that simple. Once locked, it holds the clamp in place even when you let go, saving you time.

Normally, in tight spaces, you can't even open your pliers, and even if you manage to grip the clamp, you might need both hands to keep it from slipping or getting stuck. With this tool, it holds the clamp securely, freeing up both your hands.
It's particularly effective for hard-to-reach clamps, such as those facing downwards, clamps behind the engine, clamps behind the timing belt water pump, heater hoses, fuel hoses, and more. Of course, it's also useful for reattaching clamps in the same position, even when facing downwards.
I've used it for several years, and since it's so handy when I need it, I consider it an essential tool to keep in my toolbox. As this is a used item, please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive about condition.
