Approximately 80-90% of the rush grass on the market is cultivated overseas, and in most cases, the cultivation methods and amount of pesticides used are unclear. Soejima Isao Shoten products are made from 100% domestic healthy igusa cultivated with minimal pesticide use.

Soejima Isao Shoten's igusa products are safe and secure items that have preserved Japan's wonderful traditional techniques for many years.

Igusa opens and closes its pores according to temperature.
It automatically absorbs and releases moisture such as sweat, keeping you comfortable at all times.

◆◆ Kakegawa Weave ◆◆
This is a unique, heavy, and elegant weaving method from Fukuoka Prefecture, considered the highest grade of Hanza.
It features a repeating pattern of large weaves approximately 3 cm wide and small weaves approximately 1 cm wide.
Using long, high-quality rush grass and a large number of igusa strands results in a product that is resilient, durable, and has a pleasant texture.

*The surface of igusa products uses dyed soil and dyes during manufacturing.
These are harmless to the human body, but may adhere to hands, feet, or clothing while the product is new.
Please be sure to dry-wipe the surface before use.

*Due to the presence of root ends in the rush grass stems, the edges may appear whitish after weaving, but this is not due to sun exposure.

*Color may vary slightly.
