1980s Unused Genuine US Military USN Sailor Hat 7 1/2 Custom Dyed

This is a genuine US Navy sailor hat, also known as a Dixie Cup or Serpico hat. Made in the USA, it is deadstock, unused, and has been re-dyed.

The re-dyeing was done by a professional dyeing specialist, not a simple home dyeing process.

While dyed black, it is not a pure black but has a finish that leans towards dark gray or charcoal black.

Each hat has a slightly different finish and texture, giving it a handmade feel. Therefore, please consider each hat to be unique.

Shrinkage has occurred during the re-dyeing process, making the actual size about one size smaller than the original.

The contract label has also been dyed, so the size notation on the label cannot be read. Please understand this.

Color-fixing treatment has been applied, so significant color fading is unlikely. However, for the first few washes, please wash the hat separately to be safe.

Furthermore, after receiving the product, we cannot assist with issues such as the size not fitting. Please purchase based on your own judgment, as sizing preferences vary.

Note: Genuine US military white sailor hats are already completely depleted, and unused items are unavailable even in the United States. Price increases are inevitable due to increasing premiums and rarity in the future.

*Due to shrinkage from re-dyeing, the actual size is equivalent to a size 7 1/4.

Inner circumference: Approx. 58-58.5cm (Measured in the traditional sailor style with the brim curved upwards. There is a little more room if the brim is laid flat without bending.)
