I would be delighted if someone could revive this lamp and cherish it...
I had intended to restore it myself, but had to give up due to illness.
It seems the shade was dirty or damaged in the past, and I kept meaning to repair it but never got around to it.
This is an antique lamp that has been in the family for generations, with a wonderful atmosphere.
It's unclear how long it's been in our possession, but it's believed to be at least 60 to 70 years old.
It has a British feel, but its country of origin is unknown.

The power cable is marked 250V, but the plug is for Japanese outlets.
If you replace the internal parts with a commercially available kit for bottle lamps with a metal shaft, it should be suitable for current Japanese voltage.

We recommend placing your preferred fabric shade that fits the size of the shade holder (ring).
It seems possible to order custom shades.
?? Repair
The internal structure appears to be simple, so someone familiar with electrical appliances should be able to repair it.
It might be easier to replace the entire internal mechanism, for example, by inserting a metal shaft from a commercially available bottle lamp kit through the bottom.
?? Condition
No cracks, chips, or stains on the ceramic parts.
The exterior is clean, but there are the following minor damages in areas not normally visible:
Slight discoloration on the inside of the metal shade holder.
Rust on the metal fitting at the bottom of the pot.
Minor scratches and discoloration on the power cable and ON/OFF switch, giving it a vintage feel.
The switch part can be bleached if removed.
The photos show the item before cleaning.
We will clean it as much as possible before shipping.
The blue reflections on the metal are from external light.
*Please understand that this item is considered junk as it is missing the shade and currently does not light up.
