Made with SUS440C, a high-grade stainless steel known for its exceptional hardness and considered among the finest in the world.
While most hair cutting shears are made from standard stainless steel, which lacks hardness and requires the addition of steel, the term stainless can be misleading. It does not mean rust-proof. Rust can still form if left wet or handled improperly.
There is no such thing as rust-proof steel. However, 440C's hardness allows it to maintain its sharpness. The combination of carbon and chromium (Cr), a rust-resistant element, makes 440C superior in rust resistance and sustained sharpness.
