Can be used for sifting and straining.
I bought it at Kappabashi, so I think the mesh screens are available anywhere.
I bought it for confectionery making, but by changing the mesh screen, it can also be used for cooking, such as straining when making Kurikinton (chestnut paste).
I only have the 12-mesh screen, so I will include that as well.
I used it for sifting flour and sugar.

The mesh screen is detachable, making it easy to wash and hygienic.
