★★★(Notes)
This is a glass range hood for island kitchens.
This is a type of product that many manufacturers stopped selling or importing due to changes in fire safety laws, even though we used to sell it. It is a high-priced item.
We called the Tokyo Fire Department to confirm, and they stated that for new constructions, it does not qualify as specified non-combustible material and therefore will not pass inspection.
While regulations are strict in Tokyo, there are many regions where this is not an issue (Gumma Prefecture has no problems).
Some people do install it for renovations as there is no inspection.
This is a very stylish and wonderful range hood, but please check with your local fire department as installation may not be possible in some areas for new constructions or renovations.
For new constructions, there is a fire department inspection, so it may not be allowed.
★This product is brand new and unused, but it has been stored in a warehouse, so there may be some dirt or scratches. If you are concerned about this, we recommend not purchasing it.
