Ridge cresting is a decorative element installed on the ridge of a roof or the top of glass structures such as greenhouses and sunrooms. Originally made of metal, it also served the role of protecting the roof from birds as a roof ornament. However, it is now primarily used as a decorative element that adds completeness and a sophisticated impression to a building's design.
