Ginkgo (Ginkgo Biloba) Cutting Board, Length 317

This is a ginkgo wood cutting board.
After purchasing a ginkgo log felled locally, it was milled to a thickness of 2 sun (approx. 6 cm) at a lumber mill, naturally dried, and then made into a cutting board.
The dimensions are 317mm in length, 178mm in width, and 55mm in thickness.
There are knots on the front and back surfaces.
The surface has been finished after sharpening with a hand plane on a high-grade natural whetstone. The top surface is shaped like a kamaboko (to make it easier to cut food), and the back surface is hollowed out in the center for stability. (Nail heads are attached to the four corners of the back surface as markers for easy identification.)
Ginkgo is a suitable wood for cutting boards due to its moderate oil content, good water drainage, and antibacterial properties.
It has a good feel when cutting and is gentle on knives.
Even when it becomes old and worn, it can be reused by re-planing it.
A small cutting board made from the scraps generated during the cutting board production process is included as a service. (Please contact us before shipping if you do not need it.)
While we cannot increase the current size,
If you would like the size reduced,
Or the corners rounded,
Please feel free to comment. (Please comment before purchasing, as additional processing fees may apply depending on the modification.)
As this is natural wood, there is a possibility of warping, twisting, or cracking after purchase.
If the board is wobbly, it can be stabilized by placing a towel or similar item underneath.
We will check for wobbling due to twisting before packing and shipping. If the wobbling is severe, we will correct it before shipping, which may change the thickness by a few millimeters. (Slight wobbling will be shipped as is.)
