This is a tatami surface made from natural rush grass used for the top layer of tatami mats.
How about using it to create flower stands or decorative bases?

Standard tatami surfaces are wider than the tatami mat itself (approx. 100cm wide) and have frayed edges on both sides.
These have been cut vertically.
Normally, the frayed edges are trimmed off, and the material is divided into three vertical pieces for sale.

The quality varies greatly depending on the quality of the grass and the material of the warp and weft threads used for weaving. Also, as it is a natural material, the material, quality, color, and even thickness vary depending on the production area and year.
These are offcuts from tatami manufacturing, so the sizes offered for sale may vary slightly.

Due to the structure of tatami surfaces, the edges will fray, so please purchase a size larger than you need.
The color may change slightly over time.

Although unused, these items have been stored in a warehouse. As they are natural materials, there may be weaving imperfections.
Please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about these details.

To offer them at a low price, they are folded. This will cause creases.
If this is a concern, please lightly mist with water and smooth out the creases. They will naturally become less noticeable.
