Traditional and luxurious large shikishi paper, 12 sheets

A set of 12 large shikishi (the most common type of Japanese art paper), suitable for calligraphy, haiku, messages, autographs, Japanese paintings, and other art forms.

The set features a variety of colors and traditional techniques and designs, including donsu-maki (brocade roll), enmado (round window), sensen (fan surface), bokashi (gradation), kin-sen (gold overlay), and gin-sen (silver overlay).

These were purchased by my mother, who dabbled in Japanese painting, from long-established washi (Japanese paper) shops in Kyoto, such as Kakimoto. With her permission, as she is turning 90 this year, I hope to offer these to those who love calligraphy and art.

The condition is generally good and clean, but please understand that these are used items kept in a private home. Some may show slight sun fading on the back. Please refer to the 8th photo.
They will be shipped in a sturdy box along with two used sketchbooks (photos 9 and 10).

A discount will be offered for bundle purchases including mini shikishi and 5 sets of tatōshi (paper folders).
Thank you for looking.
