Christofle ◆ Ruban ◆ Unused Coffee Spoon Set of 2 ◆ Lovely and Elegant Item!

This is a set of two Christofle coffee spoons, renowned for their exquisite and elegant craftsmanship!

The model name is Rubans, which means ribbons in French. (This popular model, released 119 years ago in 1907, has a very long history, but unfortunately, production was discontinued in 2022.)

As you may know, this ribbon motif is widely known as a design favored by Marie Antoinette, the Queen of France during the reign of Louis XVI.

And as the name suggests, you can see delicate and elegant ribbon decorations applied throughout the handles.

The material of these spoons is what is called Christofle Silver, a copper alloy plated with pure silver.

It features a very thick 40-micron pure silver plating, and it is said to last for about 100 years, even for grandchildren.

(Although, realistically, it's unlikely to last that long...)

This is because if the 40-micron pure silver plating layer is unfortunately scratched deeply enough to break through, the pure silver plating layer will gradually peel away from the base copper alloy over time, and it may only hold up for a few months to half a year.

If you take care of that, it might indeed last for nearly 100 years.

Regarding the condition, these are unopened, unused items, so they are in excellent condition.

However, even through the bag, there are many signs of tarnish due to oxidation. (See images)

These items were originally part of an unopened set of six.

The two spoons you will receive are the unopened, unused two spoons shown in the main image, not the two that were opened for photography. Please rest assured.

If you are looking for these, please consider this opportunity.
