Shichi-Go-San 3-Year-Old Kimono Embroidery Orange Red Classic Pattern Antique Momiji Omiyamairi

This is a set of a kimono and half-length undergarment for Shichi-Go-San (a traditional rite of passage for children) for 3-year-olds. All patterns on the kimono are embroidered.
It is also recommended for shrine visits.

The kimono was worn by my daughter last year, using a garment from the previous generation. It has been professionally cleaned by a kimono specialty store for stain removal and sweat extraction before and after wearing. Stains that could not be removed by cleaning include numerous brown stains on the inside of the kimono due to long-term storage, and stains on the sleeves. The stains on the sleeves are not very noticeable as they blend in with the surrounding color, but please check the images.
Although there are stains on the inside, a kimono specialty store recommended that it should definitely be worn as it is a fully embroidered kimono that is difficult to obtain nowadays, so my daughter wore it for Shichi-Go-San last year.

The kimono has been hemmed by a kimono specialty store. The photos show the hemmed state, so some of the patterns (embroidery) are hidden.
It is only lightly secured with basting stitches, so you can have it re-basted to fit your child's body shape at a specialty store or similar.

The color is between orange and red, like a Momiji maple leaf. As it is an old kimono with full embroidery, it is slightly heavier than modern ones. Although it is heavier, it has the advantage of not wrinkling during wear.
My 3-year-old daughter was able to wear it, including the hifu (a type of overcoat), for half a day.

The half-length undergarment (with half collar) included in the set was purchased for my daughter to wear. It was worn for half a day and has been cleaned. The torso part is made of cotton material, so it has wrinkles after washing, but there are no stains. The half-length undergarment is recommended as it allows for easy movement.

Please understand that there may be a characteristic smell as it has been stored with kimono moth repellent.
