【Rare】TON Bentwood Chair Panel Back, Set of 2, Antique

Thank you for viewing!

This is a set of two used bentwood chairs manufactured by TON, a company that follows the legacy of Thonet, the pioneer of bentwood chairs. These are panel-back chairs (the backrest is panel-shaped, not pipe-shaped) with Art Nouveau style processing.

The panel-back model is also known as No. 120.
The mark in the center of the seat is unique to TON chairs.

This type of antique is rarely available nowadays, making this a one-of-a-kind item that is hard to come by!

Although the manufacturing year is unknown, these are quite old. The seat and backrest feature very beautiful Art Nouveau patterns created through embossing.
It is quite rare to find such intricate patterns on both the backrest and the seat.

We recommend this item to those who have a deep understanding of one-of-a-kind antiques and vintage items.

Bentwood chairs, which embody the aesthetics of bentwood, are timeless masterpieces loved worldwide for their combination of elegant curves and robustness.
Their greatest appeal lies in their rich color that deepens with age and their warm texture that comes from being used over time.

Even minor scratches and scuffs are considered character that tells a story, further enhancing their antique charm.
Please check the images for the condition.
We can also provide additional images upon request.

This is especially recommended for those looking for a rare item that showcases the skill and warmth of artisans from that era, which cannot be found in current production models.

They are perfect not only as dining chairs but also as accent pieces for your study or as displays in shops.

Please enjoy the one-of-a-kind presence that adds depth and history to your space.
