High-grade Chinese wood memorial tablet, ebony, pull-out memorial tablet, Buddhist altar disposal, mini, compact Buddhist altar fittings

This is a Karaki Kuridashi Ihai (4-size) with a double cloud-shaped base. The carvings on the main body and decorative metal fittings are intricate and exquisite.

This is an ancestral tablet used by inscribing the Buddhist name and posthumous Buddhist name onto the included wooden slips.
It is often used when the number of regular ancestral tablets increases and they no longer fit within the Buddhist altar.

[Double Cloud Shape]
The cloud-shaped base is stacked in two tiers.

Main body: Height 29cm
Width 10cm
Depth 7cm

Wooden slips: 10 pieces
2 of these have faded color and stains.

This Kuridashi Ihai was purchased in 2017 at a ceremony hall for ￥55,000-￥58,000.
I recall it being called an Ihai-do (tablet hall) at the time.

Currently, a 5.5-inch size, slightly larger than this one, is sold at a list price of ￥64,000.

There were multiple ancestral tablets in the Buddhist altar of my unoccupied childhood home, and at the suggestion of a professional,
I purchased this as a compact alternative to a Buddhist altar, as it was deemed suitable.

You could also remove all the wooden slips and use it as a memorial hall for ancestral spirits.
Its portability makes it convenient and small for moving.
Recommended for those considering downsizing their Buddhist altar.
It should also be easily accepted by those who wish to honor their ancestors while passing down traditions.

The box has stains and marks from writing, but the main body is made of high-quality ebony and is as shiny and beautiful as when it was purchased.

Thank you for your consideration.
