LEICA SUMMILUX M50mm F1.4 M-mount "Lady"
This is a listing for the first-generation Leica Summilux, known as the Lady of the Manor.
While others compete on pixel count, continuous shooting speed, and AI recognition accuracy, Leica's concept, as stated in their brochures, is to foster a deep connection with the subject through the viewfinder and to allow for focused, uninhibited control through manual focus.
The body shows some scuffs, but I believe it is in good condition for a lens manufactured approximately 65 years ago. It is a beautiful piece with a silver luster and sheen.
I purchased this last month, but I hesitated to use it and have hardly touched it.
The previous seller stated that it was a serviced item that had been overhauled by a camera shop.
The lens itself has also been disassembled and cleaned, so it is very clear with no signs of fungus or haze.
There are extremely minor coating scuffs on the edge of the rear element, but they do not affect image quality. I am mentioning this just in case, as there are rare instances of extremely sensitive individuals who are concerned about such things with expensive lenses.
The focus and aperture rings have been greased, so they move very smoothly and uniformly.
- Color: Silver
- Accessories: Lens cap, front cap, rear cap, and lens hood are included.
The lens filter was purchased from Map Camera.
I have already lowered the price several times, so I am not considering further discounts.
Thank you for looking.
