USA DIWA PHANTOM FLY Rod Vintage

Thank you for looking.

This is a USA Daiwa PHANTOM PPF-806 (8ft AFTMA #6) fly rod, purchased new 40 years ago at a local fishing tackle shop.
After using it a few times, I quickly became deeply involved in fly fishing and immediately purchased a ufm Ueda & PHANTOM II, making this my third rod. It has been stored for a long time without being used.

In my opinion, the thread on each guide has no lifting, and the aluminum reel seat and grip are in good condition for their age.

However, as this is a very old item that has been stored for a long time, there are some scuffs and scratches on the case and the rod itself. Please understand this and consider it for those who like it, with no claims or returns. Please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for perfection or are sensitive.

The line weight is #6, but due to it being fiberglass, it offers a smooth casting feel. I recommend using it for targeting fish over 30cm with terrestrial insect patterns from late summer to autumn.
