This is a personal experience, but I've been using this hat for farm work since last year. It significantly reduces the sunlight hitting my entire face and the back of my neck. I imagine many of you are already feeling the strong sun, and I hope this can be of help.
The fabric is thin but breathable, and the brim is sturdy, effectively blocking out strong sunlight overall.
While straw hats are nice, I think this hat has a modern feel and a design that can be used in any situation.
