The CLD-R5, a long-selling model with double-sided automatic playback, supported the LaserDisc era for 12 years. Its simple design, free from karaoke and DVD functions, boasts high reliability with minimal risk of malfunction.

In addition to standard maintenance (pickup cleaning, greasing, belt replacement, etc.), the AC socket, which is 100% prone to damage, has been replaced.
Twelve out of fourteen electrolytic capacitors on the power board, which are prone to heavy use and cause various malfunctions, have been replaced. Furthermore, thorough maintenance has been performed, ensuring long-term usability.

After maintenance, stable operation has been confirmed through multiple consecutive playback tests of 100-minute video software.
