The Ika Special is a new high-end model for offshore squid fishing rods. The tip is equipped with a tubular tip made of lightweight UD glass material with a special design. While maintaining flexibility, the tip section has been made lighter. This improves visual sensitivity for detecting bites, which is crucial for offshore squid fishing, and tactile sensitivity for feeling the weight of hooked squid. The blank uses Spiral X Core and High Power X construction to reduce rod flex, providing agile operability for freely manipulating squid jigs and the power to handle multiple large Japanese flying squid. For offshore squid fishing, where continuous jigging is essential, the reel seat is equipped with the X Seat Extreme Gang Grip, which dramatically enhances rod performance. The unique gang grip shape and the design with one side of the body protruding stabilize jigging and reeling under high load, increasing comfort.
