Woodstock Chimes
blue note
This is a rare, unused deadstock item with Made in the USA marking from when it was handcrafted in New York's Hudson Valley, before the transition to mass-produced items made in China.
Copyrighted 1991.
Includes the original warranty card.
While there is some slight dullness on the tubes, likely due to age, it is in beautiful condition overall as it has been stored unused.
With the shift to Chinese production, many counterfeit items have appeared. It is rare to find an American-made, unused item in this condition.
The sound is vastly different from current mass-produced models, resonating beautifully.
Although prices became more affordable after the transition to Chinese manufacturing, even during a time of a stronger yen, these handcrafted USA-made chimes were priced around ¥20,000 for the soprano type.
The box, wrapping paper, and cards show signs of age-related discoloration and damage.
Recommended for collectors of vintage instruments or those who appreciate its rarity.
Please purchase with an understanding of deadstock items.
