Upon inspection, this item was found to be in full working order.
The balls shown in the photos are approximately 66mm in diameter (purchased from a 100-yen shop) and worked without issue. It appears balls up to about 73mm in diameter may work, but 76mm balls did not.
While there are not many noticeable scratches on the exterior, this item is being sold as-is (junk) due to the lack of included balls.

The battery compartment was stored with the batteries removed, so there was no noticeable rust.

The balls shown in the photo and manganese D-cell batteries will be included as a bonus.
