Yamaha YAMAHA Xylophone 158 30 Notes Xylophone Mallet Showa Retro

Yamaha xylophone, percussion instrument, tabletop xylophone, chromatic scale, with hard case, includes 4 mallets. Wooden.

The bottom edge of the case is approximately 70cm long.

Engraved with 41.5.8. It is highly likely to be from Showa 41 (1966). Includes JIS mark.

I am in charge of percussion for a wind ensemble and received this from a relative for practice, but I haven't used it much. All 30 notes sound. The glossy finish remains. The protrusions for connecting the upper and lower wooden boards and the two legs for supporting the chromatic scale horizontally are also not deteriorated. Sheet music and notes are depicted. It feels hand-drawn. Looking at the back, it appears to have been carefully planed one by one. It feels hand-carved and hand-painted.

The case is hard. The xylophone itself is clean, but the case shows signs of use. I believe it has been kept in this case, which has helped it maintain its clean condition without mold or discoloration.
