18-7 Hole HT△07 / PVC Pipe Shakuhachi: 1 shaku 8 sun, 7 holes (0.5 hole: Tsu no Meri)

・ New

・ Standard frequency A=440Hz, tuning pipe (equal temperament pipe)

・ Uses high-quality HT pipe (brown) with excellent heat and pressure resistance, durability, and a moderate weight and mouthpiece diameter.

・ Not only waterproof, but also free from worries of cracking due to drying, making it suitable for leaving in a car or everyday use.

・ Performance comparable to bamboo shakuhachi... For practice by beginners as well as intermediate and advanced players.

・ Approximately 54 cm

・ Approximately 190g... Not too light, not too heavy, with moderate weight and balance.

・ Tongue surface angle: Approximately 25 degrees
・ Chin rest: Lightly chamfered

・ 7 holes (0.5 hole: Chūmeri, 3.5 hole: Ōmeri)
・ Reason for choosing Chūmeri for the 0.5 hole (below the 1st hole) instead of Ōmeri... Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do starting with Tsu can be played without meri, and it can easily accommodate both Chūmeri and Ōmeri, so personally, I find this easier to play (recommended 7-hole configuration).

・ Water pipe markings removed, deliberately left unpainted to retain the natural subdued azuki bean color of the material.
・ Sanded to remove pre-existing scratches and dirt, and the gloss of the mouthpiece socket is finished to a semi-gloss matching the body for a seamless look.
・ Mouthpiece, pipe end, and each hole opening are chamfered.

・ Outer diameter: Approximately 3.6 cm
・ Inner diameter: Approximately 2.0 cm

・ Mouthpiece cover (knitted)... Color and design may differ from the photo.
