Panasonic CF-R7 Windows XP

Updated April 30th
Photos have been updated as the OS has been changed to Windows XP.
XP runs comfortably, feeling like a different system from Windows 7 or 10. However, it cannot connect to the internet with browsers from that era, so its use is limited to enjoying applications from that time, such as Illustrator and Photoshop. Remote Desktop is installed by default, allowing it to be used as a front-end PC, connecting to the internet via a remote PC.
Installing Linux antiX or Linux Mint XFCE allows the OS itself to run smoothly and connect to the internet. However, browser performance was slow and felt impractical. Internet connection was possible by installing remote desktop connections, etc.
Please consider the usage carefully, as XP itself carries OS security risks.

This is a Panasonic CF-R7 B5-sized laptop purchased new in 2007.

It was rarely used for mobile purposes, so it has never been dropped or subjected to strong impacts.

The speakers do not produce sound, but there are no other malfunctions. However, some slots were rarely used and their functionality is unconfirmed.

It boots up and operates normally, with Wi-Fi and USB slots working without issue.

It was used extensively with Windows 7, but became sluggish with Windows 10 and was not used much. Recently, I have been experimenting with Linux antiX 23.2 installed on it, so it is currently in that state.

Includes Panasonic genuine recovery discs for WP and Visa (2 discs) and an AC adapter.

The item has scratches, paint peeling on the sides, and minor dents, but no significant damage that would cause discomfort.

The battery can be charged to approximately 80% and lasts for several hours.

The memory has been upgraded to 3GB. It has been used in this configuration for many years without any problems.

Although Panasonic officially states support for up to 2GB, the motherboard supports up to 3GB.

As this is an old unit, operation cannot be guaranteed. There is a possibility that unconfirmed parts may be malfunctioning, so please ask any questions you may have in advance. I will do my best to respond.
