Purchased 5 years ago. Based on advice from the store staff, I purchased this Shimano Surf Leader rod and reel set with a balanced setting, using No. 30 sinkers as a guideline. I used it about twice a year. There are no issues with the rod's extension or the reel's operation.
The rod case is included.
The reel will be attached to the rod, wrapped in bubble wrap, and shipped in a cardboard box.
