Tsugaru Shamisen, Kōki Wood, Higashi Sawari, Single-Piece Neck (Extended Neck), with Case
Tsugaru Shamisen Kouki (Redwood) with Higashi Sawari, Single Piece Neck (Nobesao), with Case
This is a Tsugaru Shamisen with a redwood neck. I am not very knowledgeable about the quality of the Tochibori (a type of wood used for the soundboard), so please judge from the images.
My grandmother used it until a few years ago, but it has been stored in its case since she stopped using it, so both sides of the skin are torn. It has been repaired with tape and can still produce sound.
It is a specification with a redwood neck and Higashi Sawari (a type of tuning device), and it is said to have been a relatively high-ranking instrument, with the purchase price being around 500,000 yen when new.
[About the Condition]
- The skin is torn on both sides.
- As it is a single piece neck (Nobesao), it cannot be separated into three parts.
- There are scuffs and minor scratches from use, but no fatal chips (Kanberi) or major cracks that would affect playing.
- The operation of the Higashi Sawari has been confirmed.
Shipping will be done with the shamisen in its case, and the case wrapped in bubble wrap. This is a used item sold as-is, so please no claims or returns.
